Organizations that have received services through MotiveSpace:

• The Barn: A Portland-Raised Building is a Nonprofit Support Center being sponsored by MotiveSpace, breaking ground in Portland's Central Eastside in 2013.  Upon opening the Barn will house as many as 40 nonprofits and social enterprises, offering them training, research, and engagement programs.  And more than just a building, the Barn is also a strong asset building strategy.  Using MotiveSpace's own Community Asset Funds program, the Barn LLC will offer tenants, neighbors, and low-income neighbors throughout Portland the ability to purchase the building over time.  Contact Sara at MotiveSpace to learn more.

 

• The Aging Artfully Community is a 25 unit community providing affordable homes and shared studio space for creative elders.  Contact Mary Bedard at mary at agingartfully dot org to learn more.

 

• Metropolitan Family Services hired MotiveSpace to design and manage an interior renovation and office build-out completed in late 2011.

 

• Tryon Life's Mother Earth School. MotiveSpace helped the staff at the Mother Earth School develop the budget projections and fund-raising targets which would allow them to acquire the land needed for an expansion of their existing school.  Contact Kelly at Mother Earth via email at talonyarrow at gmail dot com to learn how to support this amazing effort!

 

• Hatch is a 34,000 square foot building dedicated to supporting social entrepreneurs with office and workshop facilities, as well as the resources and tools they need to become effective problem solvers. Springboard Innovation hired MotiveSpace early on in the project to assist in concept, budget and partnership development; they are currently well underway on their capital campaign.

 

• Collective Agency hired MotiveSpace to review their lease documents and to provide strategic counsel regarding terms.
